Our next principal in the firing line is Craig Butler who plays Agustin Magaldi - "who has the distinction of being the first man to be of use to Eva Duarte"

2009CHESS07How did you prepare for your audition?

Doombar, paracetamol and strepsils. Also perhaps sleeping with the director (my wife) has its advantages...

What's the most challenging part about your role?

Having to pretend to be a ropey aging singer, oh wait a minute.....

What's the funniest thing that's happened in a rehearsal?

92740245 2

Chris Bateman's ballet - there are no words to describe it but it is a visual pleasure that once seen, never is forgotten!

Which musical theatre performer do you admire and why?

Lance Paul Vernon - he's the quadruple threat - Actor, singer, dancer and big hunk of lovin'! (Feeling the love guys - maybe a little too much?!?)

Who is the funniest person in the cast and why?

Chris Bateman (see above)

Apart from performing, what's another skill that you have?

Filling in questionnaires (and being incredibly cheeky obviously!)

What night of show week is your favourite?

Sunday - after the get out!

Why should people come and watch the show?

2009CHESS13

Because my wife (the director) will be intolerable to live with if we don't get the audiences so please come and watch it and save me!

Her vision is amazing and it deserves huge audiences as she (and the cast) have worked so incredibly hard - you don't want to miss this one so get your tickets now!

**Tickets now on sale!**

3rd - 6th June 2020 at 7.30pm plus Sat Matinee at 2.30pm at Exmouth Pavilion

Set in Chicago during the roaring "jazz hot" 20s, the musical tells the story of two rival vaudeville murderesses who’ve been locked up in Cook County jail.

It’s a story of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery, and treachery – all the things we hold near and dear to our hearts. It is hunger for fame, media spectacles, fake news and trial by publicity. Set almost a full century ago, the plot is timeless, the music (All That Jazz, Razzle Dazzle and Cell Block Tango to name a few) sensational, and when it all comes together, it promises to be a tour de force Exmouth will not soon forget.

Tickets are currently available via the box office at Exmouth Pavilion or by calling 01395 222 477 ~ online sales will open soon!
